  39. NuBus is the high-end expansion architecture for the Macintosh II product family. Apple will continue to support the efforts of third-party developers who design new types of expansion cards for NuBus where possible.

  41. The 030 Direct Slot was designed with this high-end strategy in mind. NuBus designs can be converted easily to 030 Direct Slot designs, and in many cases the same software drivers can be used on both cards.
